Can anyone read the name of the 2nd witness on thie marriage record that is on An...try.
London Church of England Banns and Marriages. Ernest Jaques and Alice Jeakings. St Mark. Old Street 11th January 1887. (Sorry-can't work out how to add cropped attachment)
I cannot find Ernest Jaques after 1891 and wondered if the witness name would help me. I have Alice sorted, just need Ernest.
Many thanks

Looks like Louisa Haythorpe.

In the 1891 census there is a Louisa Jeakings visiting them
But she’s only 14, so not her!

Thanks for adding the clip Mckha489.
I'll look for Louisa Haythorpe - thanks ShaunJ

Is Battersea any good?
There is a Louisa Haythorpe there on several census married to Charles.
She is born c1837 Gayton Norfolk.

I have Alice sorted, just need Ernest.
Where is Alice in 1901 or has she passed away? If not is she down as married or widowed.

Ernest Jaques was a publican at the Horse & Jockey at Ayot Green/ Ayot St Peters after the marriage. At some point the licence transferred to William Jeakings who is there in 1901.
Ernest is still there in the 1895 directory (Ernest Jacques):

I have details of the pub transfers, thanks.
Just realised I don't have Alice in 1901, but she is housekeeper to George Hulett - carpenter - in 1911. They are in Bedford. She is listed as widow.
Still in Bedford in 1939.

Had a look at Louisa Haythorpe, but can't see any links to my family.
