Title: Deciphering of old German current
Post by: vlotko on Thursday 02 May 19 15:06 BST (UK)
Hello! Hope somebody can help me with deciphering of this fragment in old German from 1838. I can guess just - Sohn Nahmen Michael and no word after that. Would be very thankful for any help.

Einen Sohn Nahmens
Michael hinterlassen
welcher von den oben
genannten den dritten
Prätendent ist.
----------------------------------
A „hinterlassen“ ( surviving, out lived, remaining) son called Michael
who is the third pretender of the above mentioned.

It would help in the future if you post more text and also state what kind or record it is.

Thank you very much, Dave! I am struggling with some noble court documents of Eastern Galizia (nowadays Lviv, Ukraine). My German is very poor, I am trying to decipher and then translate, but it it quite hard. You helped me very much!
