Good Afternoon Everyone,
I recently found this photo of my late Mum with her adopted mother and half brother Les. Mum was adopted at 6 months of age in 1925 in Sydney and I believe this could be the earliest photo of her.
I am hoping that someone may be able to enhance the photo and maybe the gentleman on the end, but I will be happy with any improvements.
Thanks in advance

This is a photo of a framed picture and the flash has wiped out a large portion. Can you get the picture scanned and re submit the scan for restoration?, John.

Hi John,
thanks for the reply, that is the only copy I have. It was from an old negative that I found in my mother's possessions, a friend had a dark room for awhile and he developed a box of negatives for me.

Hi Marion...The image is very badly degraded but I got what I could from it without making it up. Sorry, I wish it could be better for you ::)

Hi Marion
I've done a lot of dark room work in the past and I think the gentleman on the end is the same one (or relative) as the gentleman with his hand on the child. It looks to me as if the photo is of two negatives (see the indent in bottom strip).
Carol's restore is the main part of the first neg.
Good retrieval, Carol :)

Examining it again - I think I was wrong. The man on the right is part of the same neg.
Sorry - laptop deceived!

Yes I thought that too Gadget and that's why I focused on her "Mum, Nana & Uncle Les" named on the image.

If Marion still has the neg, I think it might be worth a large scan and see if it can be sorted that way.

Here is one from me, Nana seems to be enjoying her cup of tea.

Thanks Carol, Gadget and Pat for your help and your advise on my photo, I still have the negative (somewhere) I will scan it and hope it helps

Hi Gadget,
I have located the negative but its terrible, I don't think anything can be done, I will attach it so you can see. I think I'll have to be happy with what everyone has done and I really am, its a wonderful photo.

Hi Marion
It seems that it must have been degraded even more since the print. Here's a small section of it that I did with just a few processes. As you can see it looks very roughened/scratched.
