Hi evryone, I've just returned to searching after a wee break. I have the marriage of Elizabeth Gillis 1744 Bamburgh, she from Doddington. I've found a few Gillis' in Doddington 17th 18th century but I can't find any trace of Elizabeth. Any clues as to where I could look.
I'm just waiting for my DNA results to come back! Can't leave this research stuff alone once you've started can you!?
Cheers

Thanks Colin, I didn't think to try searching with a different spelling! She would have been living with her daughter, Elizabeth Knox at Hagdon when she died.
Cheers

Thanks BevJ, that would have made her 22 when marrying, so sounds good, but the misspelling of names somewhere makes it frustrating!
I'll try and investigate further
