Title: Birth of Blanche Field, 1889 - PARIS

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for the birth of the above Blanche Field. According to the UK 1911 Census, she is British by Parentage, and born in Paris. On the 1939 register, her date of birth is given as 5th January, 1889.

She married Arthur Mark Wingfield in 1916, in East Preston, Sussex, UK, and died 19th September 1966 in Sussex.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello,
Sorry but I have found no Field born 1889 in Paris in any of the 20 "arrondissements" in the tables (annual or decenal).
FS has her in 1901 and 1911 , born in France , british subject and born in Paris Resident., though.

Newspaper reports of the wedding say that she was "of Littlehampton". Nothing about her parents. She was given away by her uncle Harry "Wakefield " (Chichester Observer) or "Wakelin" (West Sussex Gazette).

? That's not correct. The probate calendar says "to Arthur Mark Wingfield retired fishmonger and John Frank Wingfield fishmonger. "

Have you got the marriage certificate? What are the father's name and occupation?

There is a tree on Filae , I asked a subscriber who tells that this Blanche Field was born in the USA, it isn't your Blanche

It matches with the ages on the censuses , no idea in which arrondissement she  was born  (there are 20 arrondissements)?

Possible for her Uncle?
Harry WAKELYN born c 1846 Thurlow, Suffolk.
Earlier Census various spellings for his surname.
He married 1890 to Caroline Phillipa Collins

That Harry Wakelyn lived in Worthing (East Preston) so that is a very good possibility.
