Am not sure where this is, but Thomas Dodd (b. 1814 supposedly Cumbria - d 1899 US) was apparently born there to an Adam Dodd and his wife Agnes Biggins. I a taking a wild guess with the date, but think they were probably born about 1790 (only a guess).
If anyone can help me find Adam Dodd and his wife Agnes Biggins would be most appreciative.

family search.org has the baptisms of Thomas Dodd in 1814 and his numerous siblings with the parents Adam Dodd and Agnes Biggins but I can't see a marriage with the bride Agnes Biggins. There are trees attached to these entries whether they have added the name Agnes Biggins? Did this name come from records in the US?
The only marriage I can see for an Adam Dodd to an Agnes is 2 Nov 1809 to an Agnes Langstreth at Kirkby-Lonsdale, Westmoreland.
Kirkby-Lonsdale is approx 38 miles NW of Addingham.

Agnes Biggins and Adam Dodd are given as parents on the death certificate of Edward Dodd born August 16 1830 in Quebec. Informant E R Dodd.
So if Edward was born in Quebec to Adam and Agnes then the death in Kirkby-Lonsdale, Westmoreland, may not be the Adam you are looking for unless he returned to England.

Thomas Dodd was dead & buried 73 years before Cumbria came into being. Cumbria is an administrative area consisting of the counties of Cumberland, Westmorland and parts of North Lancashire and North Yorkshire.

I'm struggling to find that marriage, but it could well have been in the parish of Addingham in Cumberland, rather than the one in Yorkshire which is approx 38 miles SE of Kirkby Lonsdale.
There doesn't seem to be a settlement called Addingham in the Cumberland parish, so it's unlikely to appear on a modern map, but according to Genuki it contains the townships of Gamblesby, Glassonby, Hunsonby with Winskill, and Little Salkeld, which are on most maps:

Addingham is shown on Greenwoods 1824 Map of Cumberland http://www.geog.port.ac.uk/webmap/thelakes/html/grnwood/gw1257.htm
scroll down a little, its to the east of the River Eden and south-west of Glassonby.

The village of Addingham was washed away by the river Eden a long time ago. There's still a church there, though.
