Have you looked through the rest of the register
https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0041
or do you mean a different St. Mary's cos I didn't spot Catherine, granted the writing is terrible as usual.

A Line to what you are referring to would be helpful!

".... their fist child Catherine in 1851   was baptised in St Mary's...."

Saves people wasting time trying to find what you've already found just to try to help you!

There is also John Hartnett baptised 3rd April 1853 to the same parents. I canít find the baptism on the nli registers site but there is a link from Ancestry.

Maria Hartnett -baptised  10th May 1855 same parents

Again, I canít see this Baptism on nli site but it is available through Ancestry

There are others - not transcribed in full but seem to be later children.

If Kate/Catherine was the first child then it would be advisable to search as Sinann suggests.

That page is quite clear, I must have been looking at the wrong page.

They donít seem to be straightforward - maybe not in order so it is difficult.
Other children are just named without dates in the index

Yes, probably.
The ones found were after Kate/Catherine but I just wondered if that was certain.

The marriage is probably in the bride's parish and it's possible they could have come from outside the city, I was trying to narrow down the search using the very limited free search on Roots Ireland but they only have Cork North (Mallow heritage )and West (Skibbereen heritage) and there was two many results of each name to make any progress.

Thank you all for your replys, Catherine was the first child that I know of ,just so frustrating as I've really hit a brick wall with these two,I know Timothy was a cattle dealer and there was a newspaper article which he featured in and his brother was mentioned but they didn't give his name,I have been searching for over 2 years to find the marriage.
