Title: BMD in Greece - Where to start, please?
Post by: tilly56 on Friday 07 June 19 14:26 BST (UK)
Good afternoon, I am trying to help my cousin look into his Greek father's family. He knows next to nothing about him. I have managed to find some information via Ancestry, but am now stuck. One of the problems is that they seem to change surnames the whole time! Two brothers have different surnames, for example - one uses the father's surname, the other the mother's - who each use different surnames on different occasions. For example, on marriage certs two names are often given for the same person. Could anyone advise how I should proceed, please? I think that the people I am now trying to find were almost certainly born in Greece. Many thanks for any help. Tilly x
