Does anyone have any information regarding the above gentleman? He was born in Poland in 1925 and came to Scotland to join the Polish Army. He met and married Mary Gunning in 1947 and became a naturalized British citizen .They had 2 daughters and later separated and he move to Goole. Posting this for his daughter Irene who wondered what became of her dad as she has not seen him since she was 10. Any info would be great. Thank you in advance.

RootsChat has a strict policy of not naming living, or potentially living, people.
You'll have to remove his names.

There is a possible re-marriage under his birth name in 1973.
That won't be proved unless you compare that marriage cert with the one issued in 1947 eg age and fathers names.
The name he chose after naturalization is quite frequently occuring, so to find his death in the death index (as that is a possibilty being born in 1925) what is his full date of birth?
There are some links here that might be useful especially the Polish Section at RAF Northolt, where 7 Polish squadrons were based during WW2

He was living in Gloucestershire in 1967 at the time of his naturalization according to the London Gazette

Hi Alexanderina
There aren't any obvious matches in the death index online upto 2007.
I can check the death index after 2007 at the British Library next week.
If you haven't done so already, please consider purchasing the 1973 marriage certificate for more information. It should give an address in 1973 which could be checked against electoral registers 1973 onwards if not for him, then his next wife.

Thank you Dawnsh, that would be lovely if you could find out more about this gentleman. How would you go about getting a marriage certificate in England ?
Thank you .

you can apply for a copy from the General Register Office at www.gro.gov.uk and it will cost £11 inclusive of postage to where ever you are in the world.
The marriage was registered in March quarter 1973, the registration district is Leicester, the volume is 3A and the page is 1392.
You must enter the name of one of the parties.
You can do a free search at www.freebmd.org.uk
I will send you a pm with some names.
