Title: Louisa Williams marriage to Albert Edward Stonham
Post by: Grampy1 on Sunday 14 July 19 20:33 BST (UK)
In my tree I have Louisa Williams born 1845 Portsea Hampshire, married to Albert Edward Stonham  10/9/1867. I found this in the Parish Records. However on Family Search there is a Lavinia Williams who seemingly married the same person on the same day. Thought it was a duplication but Lavinia was born in Hastings and has a different father. I wonder if the original records have been misread? Can you help on this matter.

What's the link to this family Search record?

What type is it?

Lavinia + A E Stonham is supported by a newspaper entry.

Throw in the banns, and Lavinia's name a bit clearer

In 1851, a Louisa Williams, 6, born Portsmouth, in Hove, Sussex
Father is also James. She is not the youngest daughter!

A family tree on FamilySearch has her married to Mr Stonham

Whilst later census returns say that Lavina Stonham, wife of Albert, was born in Fairlight, Sussex.

Many thanks for your replies. It is looking like that Lavinia is the name. However I went on Free UK Genealogy and their transcript gives her forename as Louisa.

I see you had another query but no replies in 2017;
James Workman is my great great grandfather. He was an only child (Thomas Williams and Ann Workman) He had eight children, James, Alfred, William, Harriet, Louisa, Emma. Ellen and Mary Ann. James had five children and Alfred had ten. William had six children. Must be quite a lot of descendants out there Anybody related?

Maybe not a only Child;
 other possible Children same Church to THOMAS/ANNE Williams;
MARY ANN 19 May 1811
SARAH    09 Jan 1814
WILLIAM    01 Jan 1816
THOMAS    18 Dec 1816
ANNE    18 Dec 1816

Marriage;
Ann WORKMAN
Thomas WILLIAMS 29 Nov 1808, St Mary the Virgin, Monmouth, Monmouthshire

And another one but Father James;

THOMAS WORKMAN Williams 31 Dec 1809 to JAMES/ANN
