Title: Burials at St Mary Churchyard, Bridgwater
Post by: Gossypium on Friday 02 August 19 15:14 BST (UK)
Amelia Grace Crocker died aged 71 in Jan/Mar 1917 and may be buried with her husband:

Frederick Crocker aged 53 buried 9 Mar 1898 St Mary.

Can you confirm both were buried at St Mary, dates of death and of burial, and is there a plot/grave number?

The NBI confirms that burial date and place.  You will probably need the death certificate for the date of death . Newspaper gives date of death as March 3rd

Have you tried contacting the church for plot numbers and burial locations.

For what it's worth, the image of the burial register indicates Section 1 for Frederick's burial in 1898.

Records available on Ancestry only go as far as 1914.

Thank you to you all.  I have sent an email to st Mary's Church asking if Amelia was buried with Frederick but no burial registers are kept at the church so they cannot say.

Friends of Wembdon Road Cemetery, Bridgwater say that there were no burials at St Mary's after 1851 (except for about half a dozen burials in family vaults) so that any burials shown in the Somerset Burial Index and the National Burial Index as 'St Mary' burials in fact happened in the Wembdon Road Cemetery, which is where Frederick Crocker and Amelia Grace Crocker were buried in section 1.
