Title: Wulff Family
Post by: VisserWulff on Sunday 04 August 19 11:24 BST (UK)
Good day,

i am looking for Wulff family in Western Cape, my great grand mother came from Germany with her father, she then travelled to Namibia and married my great grandfather . Her father had a piano repair shop somewhere in the western cape. Any one that can maybe assist, according to some family members her father passed away and he left a will but she never had the time to go back to SA.

Hi & Welcome to Rootschat!  ;D

Some names and dates, would be of assistance - including birth-year indications if you have them.

The more information you can provide us, the better the chance of being able to help :-)

Cheers,
AMBLY

There are 60 odd instances of WULFF listed in the KAB database.  But no way to tell at this point if any relates to your gt.gt grandfather.

Also search alternative spelling: WOELFF (wölf), WOLFF etc.

Cheers

hi, my great grandmother was born 15 March 1881 Humburg(Hamburg) Germany. This was left in a note my grandfather left in his bible. Maria Elizabeth Wulff

This is her 1951 death notice. Unfortunately there are no parents mentioned:

I'm wondering whether this might be the death of their first child in 1902 in Fort Beaumont:

Update: turned out to be different mother: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSK6-12W5?i=544&cat=959431

There were more Willem Adriaan Dreyers around, but this Christoffel's father was a stock farmer, the same occupation as in 1945 when he dies (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C919-L9BQ-H?i=2583&cat=781178 )

If this was their son, we could narrow down the period of their marriage to abt 1898-1901 with a possibility of the location in the Fort Beaufort area.
