Hoping someone can help with regards information on a john Hadley abt. 1812 who was the dad of Henry Hadley and John's parents William Hadley and his wife Mary
Henry Hadleys birth years range from 1836-1839. He was born in Dudley, Worcestershire. I believe he married a Jane Teague born 1838.
Parents of Henry thought to be
John Hadley born Stourbridge, Worcestershire 1810/1812
It seems his Dad was William Hadley and mum Mary but can't find anything else further on them so any help appreciated.
A John hadley married an Esther Orford 1810 Oldswinford, Worcestershire, England and Esther's name appears on a few censuses as mother of Henry's family. But a Jane greenfield 18081888 married a John Hadley same year and area and I believe she may have married a Joseph Beard?? Still unsure on whether they married the same man or not and on one census Henry Hadley became a Henry beard. So am unsure whose Henry's parents are though believe it to be Esther.

Note - your describing "Lucy Maria, 1856, John William 1857 et al" as "Henry's siblings" did initially confuse.
Can find a couple of Henry's children (Harry Edward, Agnes Louisa) with mother's maiden name Teague on the GRO - but not Lucy Maria, first born.
FindMyPast has the marriage (transcription only) of Jane Teague, age 17 and Henry Hadley, age 19, on 5 Nov 1855. at Worcester. The Henry Hadley registered Mar Qtr 1839, would have been about sixteen and a half in Nov 1855 (assuming birth was registered shortly after his birth).

Can find the birth registration of Lucy Maria on FindMyPast (Jun Qtr 1856, Worcester, vol 6c page 314) but not on the GRO.

A possibility for Lucy's birth registration in her mother's maiden name
Lucy Teague Sept 1/4 1855 registration district Worcester vol 6c page 258. No mother's maiden name given which usually indicates illegitimacy. So did Jane and Henry marry in November after the birth of Lucy.

Yeah I saw this census entry too. Am unsure whether Esther Orford married John, Henry's dad and whether Jane grain/greenfield did as well. Esther does appear with the family on a number of the censuses 1841, 1851 and 1861 so wondering if Jane was married to the same person or not. But Henry is also listed down with wife and kids on 1861 census so maybe Esther is wrong as you can't have Henry listed twice in 1861 living with wife, then with potential mother. So perhaps john did marry Jane Greenfield and she's Henry's Mum.

If you don't have it you really need Henry's marriage certificate to Jane Teague otherwise anything we suggest could be wrong.

The John who married Jane Greenfield in 1831 was a widower, so presumably a bit older.

Thanks for this Rosie. Just now need to try and work out his birth year but you've given me info to work on which is appreciated. I did find a couple death and burial records for a john hadley who died 9th June 1841 but if Jane remarried then your dates work much better. Thanks for all this 👍. The Hadleys at stages are not proving easy to work out but I had worked out Esther Orford was a different family. I took her off the tree, went back to Henry and got to John and Jane.

In 1861 He was with his wife Martha RG09/ Piece 2092 f109 p5. Also with them was a daughter Mary E Hadley 11 months and a William Beard age 41. John's occupation was Shoe maker
1871 He is still married to Martha RG10/3050 f128 p21. They have 3 children and William Beard is still living with them.
1891 as you say he is staying with Mary - still a shoe maker. He is married, his wife Martha is entered elsewhere on this census (a servant)

Yeah that's the info I had before seeing this as spade maker stood out. I've a couple options re John hadley 1801-1833. In the last quarter - 1800 November is a listing for John with parents Benjamin and Mary in Rowley Regis. Thomas & Mary in Dudley Oct 1801 had a son John.

Well I thought I had figured out that Johns parents are Benjamin Hadley and Mary - unknown surname as now. BUT!!
John hadley the son of John snr. was born 02 Jun 1834 and was baptised in June also. John hadley is down as his dad, not James Penn.
So John Snr must have died later than 1833??? Or Jane decided to put John down as the dad instead of James as neither of the two burial dates given fit with jane being pregnant with John's child.
There's also two daughters Ann and Mary Hadley from Jane and John's marriage.

This is a great summary thank you. This family has my head spinning lol I believe Johns parents are Benjamin and Mary. So Mary John's daughter was baptised in the UK. John junior I'd not even noticed the portway link!! There is an entry for a Ann Hadley 1828, Halesowen, and that is to a john hadley and Ann. But unsure if this has any connection. John junior I'd not even noticed the portway link!! There is an entry for a Ann Hadley 1828, Halesowen, and that is to a john hadley and Ann. But unsure if this has any connection. The christening you found for John in 1833 would fit with John snr dying that year.
I had this entry Birth Date2 Jun 1834 Birth Place Cradley, Worcestershire, England which is why I queried John being John seniors son.

Mary who is listed before him was baptised 18 December 1831 parents John Hadley occ Victualler and Jane.
There were two burials in Rowley Regis for a John Hadley

24 Aug 1832 age 76.
