Much depends on the context.
Sep, buried
It could mean seven but here I suspect it means to close off.
Was it at the end of the register or even perhaps a burial register where a family tomb was now filled and sealed to future burials?
In a bishop's transcript it could even mean that there were seven entries since the last BT.
It is like the "f" in your transcript I assume it was really a long "s" the archaic letter or symbol used to denote the letter s or the double letters ss.
Cheers
Guy
PS I really suspect it is short for sepulturae = buried

Could it be short for "sepulta fuit" - was buried :-\

Ref reply #1, from Guy ...
Isn't the f. in the listing, short for filius (or whatever the LATIN word is, which I've forgotten), meaning 'son of' ???
i.e. Edward, son of Edward Roberts.

Yes thanks for pointing that out.
I forgot the text was in Latin I just remembered seeing an f in the transcript and assumed it was a long f.
Prove the point of viewing in context and not assuming anything.
;)

Many thanks Dawn and Guy I had noted the f and assumed it meant father of.

Just thought it was worth pointing out that the Latin for 'daughter' is filia. The abbreviation 'f' could stand for son (filius) or daughter (filia). With names like Maria and Martha in the list, a translation of 'f' as daughter is clearly necessary.

Excellent thanks this is all very helpful.
