May I ask how you got Pearson as Catherines maiden name as you dont have a Marriage for William Johnson?
This may be more likely?
Marriage;
02 Jan 1809
Event Place:
Cathedral Saint Peter,Sheffield,York,England
William JOHNSON to Catherine JERVIS
On Familysearch.Org
That would make Sarah Catherines Sister

many thanks for info, got info from newspaper dated 1919 about the pearson family, could be wrong
-
Looks to me that Catherine was nee Jarvis/Jervis as the info I have given seems to confirm.
What does the Newpaper Article say?
Trish :)
-
Looks like I was right.
A very detailed article, Catherine died 1852 in Lancs so that is why I couldnt find a Death Reg in Derby for her.

Wow, thanks trish for all your hard work, the last bit is very interesting & full of new info for me

the last bit about the pearson family gives death for William Johnson as Feb 1838 & Catherine July 1852 in Blackpool but I cannot find the wills, could you help
-
Sorry I cant help with Wills. I am in Australia so unless on line I have no access
-
You can view Catherine Johnson's will on FindMyPast - Staffordshire Diocese of Lichfield and Coventry Wills and Probate 1521-1860.
Did William die at Newbold, Derbyshire in 1838, and said to be of Chesterfield? If so then his will is also available at FindMyPast.
-
William's will is a wonderful mine of information ;D ;D ;D A very generous man ;D ;D
-
Hi Bumbleb, I am not a member so cannot read will, would you down load it for me, also Catherine Johnson died july 1852 I understand is at Stafford as well.
