I have the following:
Birth:14467/1863 MORRISON Jannet parents JOHN and GRACE WELLINGROVE
Marriage: 6610/1882 TEASE Samuel MORRISON Janet TAMWORTH
Death:13662/1904 TEASE Samuel parents SAMUEL and ANNIE WEST MAITLAND
Janet is mentioned in the 1920 will of her mother Grace, but no surname is given.
I'm looking for any information on Janet and Samuel. I do not need anything on Janet's parents or siblings.
I know the marriage and death certificate for the above Samuel may be useful, but thought I'd try here first.
I've had no joy on Trove.

Perhaps this is his father or grandfather?
Mr Samuel TEASE, per the Helen arriving 21 July 1841 from Liverpool (departed 4 April 1841) . He was single, aged 28 years, from Conwal (Ireland) and could read and write. He was a farm servant, and a Presbyterian. His parents were John TEASE and Catherine TEASE ... A Bounty lad.

Hi there, JM.
Thank you for the information.
There are mentions on Trove of who I assume is the father.
Based on what I can see, but can't access, on Ancestry, I'm going to post on the US board and see if anything can be found.

The Irish chap died the year after the Australian one.
Samuel S Teas was born in Australia to a Samuel and Isabella. I can't find a marriage for the couple, nor a death for Isabella. The 1904 could be the the husband of Isabella, but where has she gone. Neither are on the Maitland cemetery index.
Samuel S also had a sibling Matilda, that I can't see anywhere other than the birth registration.
I haven't checked other States, as yet.

Thank you, Judith. I didn't search late enough.
Have found this on Trove, 1896, page 5, 1st column, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article132404182:
An Old Maitlander. — We had the pleasure this week of meeting a very old Maitlander in the person of Mr. Samuel Teas, a son of the late Samuel Teas, miller, of West Maitland, well and favourably known to all old residents. Mr. Teas, who came to Maitland in 1849, remained here thirteen years, having left on St. Patrick's Day, 1861. After leaving New South Wales, Mr.Teas went to England where he remained some time, and ever since he has made his home in New Zealand. He has been in Maitland now for about a fortnight, during which time he has met with many old friends, and doubtless others who knew him in the old days will be glad to renew acquaintance. It is quite likely that Mr. Teas will again settle in the district.

Good find on TROVE!

Excellent, Judith.
I checked the Waverley disc and she is interred alone and the inscription only says 'Our mother'.
I am betting that that recorded Samuel death is her hubby and not my Samuel.

I can't see the connection between my Samuel and the NZ one.
I will have to wait and see if I get anything from the post I have put on the US board.
Someone in the US thinks that Samuel S Tease is the one who married Janet, but it looks to me that the NZ Samuel is the one born to Samuel and Isabella.
The marriage cert transcription may just have to be purchased.

Got it, I think. ???
Samuel and Isabella had four children in NZ, after the birth of Samuel and Matilda.
Matilda married in NZ in 1882 and in Australia in 1886. She died as Matilda Webb in 1910 and is buried out at Waverley.
Matilda’s sister Isabella married NSW Alfred Daly and she died NSW a widow in 1946.
Brother Joshua Hunter born NZ 1870, died Qld:
1933 C1362 Joshua Hunter Teas parents Samuel Hunter and Isabella Foster

It’s looking less likely that Samuel S is our man.

My cousin has kindly sent me a copy of the purchased 1982 marriage cert and it shows Samual Tease aged 28, born Ireland, parents John and Prudence White.
Looks like our man who died in Ireland in 1905. He was not Samuel S.
Thank you to everyone for their help.
