Title: 1851 Herefordshire Census
Post by: bean on Wednesday 04 August 04 10:52 BST (UK)
Could SKS please look up the following 2 people in the parish of Kington for me?

Richard Banks - Piece:2492     Folio:260a
Aged 59, born Kington, Herefordshire. Also in household RW Banks, aged 32, and Rosa M Banks, aged 22.
Esther Crummer - Piece:2492     Folio:237a

Sorry, i don't have the page numbers.
I am particularly interested in Richard Banks' birth place.

Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Bean

There is a book on this family who still live in Kington
It is called A Kington Family by Sinclair and Fenn.
This gives all the details about Richard Banks

must remember to check for replies more often!!!!!!!

Alli - thanks for the info, much appreciated. On the 1841 info for Richard are the other people listed all Banks? I recognise Richard Jnr, James, William and the eldest Esther but the second Esther and Sarah are new.

EBN - i have that book now.

Alli,

Does the 1841 census list relationships?
If so is Sarah a daughter or niece - have a niece who would fit if so.

thanks anyway - i have a family bible which gives Richards children, that was apparently used in a court case, but it doesn't have a Sarah in it and has Esther as being about 6 years younger. i have found a niece called Sarah who's a couple of years older than the census age, based on her age a death, so it looks like she's a favourite.

thanks once again for your time and help, it's much appreciated.
