Hello
here is a message that you be interested in - I believe the John Meyers this person is looking for could be the brother of your John Gatehouse's wife. Perhaps if you contact them they would have more information about the family of Elizabeth Gatehouse.

MEYERS, JOHN
Author: Diane Marshall Date: 23 Jun 2002 12:32 AM GMT
Surnames: Meyer/Meir, Fleck
Classification: Query
John b 1856 Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY d:1905, living on Wilson St with sister Elizabeth Gatehouse at that time.
Parents John Sr and Margarite Fritz Meyer/ Germany.
Is there anyone out that that can find his parents? I believe him to be related to George Fleck, as that is the plot that John is buried in, Woodlawn Cemetery. I believe him to be a brother of Margaretha Meyer Fleck b: 1846 Baden, Germany. I need some help! Elizabeth Gatehouse is in the 1910 census with her husband and daughter, but cannot find John with her before he died. He died of tuberculosis.
Does anyone know where the records for Traugott Funeral Home are? Most of my German relatives were buried from that funeral home.
Thank you for any response.
good luck
Thelma
