I am trying to find the maiden name of the above person.
I believe this is her surname after her 1st marriage as she fled from Lithuania either before or during WW2.
Her 2nd marriage was in the Jan Qtr of 1974, Vol 3b, Page 602.
Just hoping that her fathers name is recorded on this marriage certificate.
-
The only way to get sight of a copy is to buy it.
-
Do you think her first marriage, to Mr Ellis, was in this country?
If so, have you looked for it? (Not many Gertrudes to Ellises) Do you think she altered either of her names before first marriage (anglicized them?)
Are you aware of any children to the Ellises - mmn for them?
-
Registry office marriages cannot be looked up. As Pauline advised - you would have to buy a copy
Gertrude was b 27.4.1925 and died 1997 Lincolnshire
-
Q4 1950 marriage in Melton Mowbray with later connection to Lincs might be a possibility.

Deleted.

Oh well found, chempat!
Hopefully then it is the right lady.
-
Combined effort - I missed the Gertrud marriage - forgot to search for a Gert* - that birth then just appeared at top of Ancestry overseas births.
Looks like one child.
Added:
Does that birth informatiom mean there is no acknowledged father - illegitimate?
-
No, she (Gertrud's Mother) is married, this is extra information, from a different search, but referring to same record - that is not available to read.
