Post by: glenton on Tuesday 05 November 19 06:15 GMT (UK)
This is a long shot as my husband Grandmother who was a widow Emily Daniels nee Screen married a George Carver about 1920 Staffordshire, They may have had 4 sons one name Bill /William. The reason for this request is he has NO photos of his Grandmother Emily. Emily was first marries to John Thomas Daniels who died in the WW1  on the Western Front.  If anyone knows of this family connection i would be very grateful to hear from you, My husband Anthony John Daniels visited the family in the 1950s at Knighton Radnorshire. we live in Queensland Australia.Thank you for any assistance,

A quick look at Free BMD reveals the marriage registered in  Rochdale, Apr-Jun 1920.
Possible children- Daughter 1921, Prestwich. Son 1925, Congleton. Son 1928  Knighton. Son. William, 1931 Knighton, Son 1933, Knighton. (Search Screen/s as mother's maiden name)

Have you thought of writing to a local Knighton newspaper asking for information? Family, or people in contact with the family, may still be in the area.

A George Carver, born  20 Dec 1895, died in Liverpool area in  Apr- Jun 1983.

Hi
There is a family tree for them on Ancestry if you have it.
The couple's  child born 1928 is still alive it seems.
just a thought.

(Look up Emily Screen on Ancestry born 1889 and one tree does have a photo. It's of two women so not sure which is which. Also photo of her father William---Meadows Holgate family tree)
