Post by: AlgarvePete on Thursday 07 November 19 15:07 GMT (UK)
Another brick wall, My 2xgreat grandfather John Spencer born Aston circa 1802. Looking for parents or a Christening.
I have John in 1841,51,61,71 and 81 and his death in 1884. Age on all census and death vary but birthplace is Aston throughout.
Any help greatly appreciated and thanks to everyone for solving the previous Simon White and Anne Field mystery.

I guess he married before 1841 but do you have a record of his marriage (John's) with any witness names that might help?

Did he marry Elizabeth White (as we were looking at White family before  ;D )
They were both of the parish - witnesses William Smith and John (Hallett? sorry I can't read it )

He married Elizabeth White in Aston 8 Jun 1833 but no clues there regarding witnesses.
The nearest possible parents are William Spencer and Mary Rayment married in Walkern  9 Nov 1790 but no proof.

I can see why you think William/Mary were his Parents as they Bapt;
William 27 Oct 1793
Sarah 28 Feb 1796
Mary 27 Dec 1801
Thomas 24 May 1807

So possible gap for John there :-\
