Title: Help with place named Bornebrook?
Post by: Gortinanima on Thursday 14 November 19 18:05 GMT (UK)
I am interested in the Maguires of Knockninny who were buried in Callow Hill graveyard in Kinawley Co Fermanagh --

One broken slab in the graveyard partially transcribed reads 'Maguire -- of Bornebrook Co of Cavan & grandsons of Ignatius Maguire Esq'.

Perhaps there is a mistake in the transcription as I can find nothing like Bornebrook in County Cavan.

Any ideas?

Also, this is from Wikipedia:
Drumlaydan is a townland in the civil parish of Templeport, County Cavan, Ireland. It is also called Bonebrook locally.
