Imagine my excitement when I found a newspaper article from the Daily Herald on the British Newspaper Archive with a photo of a relation I had never seen a picture of before.. the only issue being the quality of the photo! It has not copied well so I would ideally love to have a copy of the original photo. After some digging on the internet, it appears the National Science and Media Museum has a Daily Herald archive. I have emailed them but have yet to receive a response. Is there anywhere else I could try to get an original photo?
Many thanks
Angela

Do you mean one archive or two ?
I visited the one at Bradford several years ago looking for a picture that I was told was published in TDH. I secured a lot of help from the Head Archivist but failed to find what I was looking for.
Very precise referencing is crucial in searches such as this.

Thanks for that, I sent my last email to research@nationalmediamuseum.org and a very helpful lady has said she will have a look but unfortunately the archive is not comprehensive and also a lot are uncatalogued. I am not sure whether she will find anything but fingers crossed 😀
