James Grant and Colina McIntyre Wilson were married in Stirling in 1937. You can view the marriage certificate and James' birth certificate at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. It's pay-per-view but much more modestly priced than the equivalent in New Zealand :)

The marriage will tell you the full names of both James' and Colina's parents, including their mothers' maiden surnames, so you can begin to work back from there.

You won't be able to view Colina's birth certificate, or their death certificates, because these are after the cut-off dates for online viewing, but Colina's death certificate should be available next month.

Happy hunting.
