The word after Inverness shire is a mystery to me and I can't find anything similar on a map. Can anyone decipher this please,
The line underneath says Moy parish and hoping someone can confirm that Strathglass is in this parish.

Is it the same word as the word at the bottom almost cut off, it looks like Iwon :-\

The Strathglass that I know of is a river (Glass) running south on the River Beauly a long way from Moy.
Google maps type in Carnoch Beauly it will take you there.
Older maps https://maps.nls.uk select the Roy Map Highlands in the search window type in Strathglass it will take you there as well.
Iwan/Iwon I do not see nor find in Moy.
What is the name of individual(s) you seek.

It may be a shortened version of Inverness (Town) which is in Inverness-shire?
Can you please post some extra details to enable people to help...
When/where married & his address given at the time if post 1855 which may be a clue?
Have you found him on later census' which may have better handwriting?
The details for the person on last line which was mentioned may also help if we can find them on later census records?...

James McRae and Elizabeth McCrae married on 1 Oct 1854 in the Barony area of Glasow.
James McCrae died by 1891? Elizabeth showing in the 1881 and 1891 census that I can see (James not showng in 1881, but Elizabeth listed as wife). Birth place continues to show as Strathcarron (or mistranscriptions of that ::)).

It may be a shortened version of Inverness (Town) which is in Inverness-shire?
That's what sprang to my mind.
Roderick Douglas, aged 12, born Inverness-shire, Inverness, is in the 1851 census in Inverness with parents Finlay Douglas and Catherine, plus sister Catherine, 9. There are RC baptisms of children of Finlay Douglas and Catherine Forbes in Inverness, not including Roderick but including Catherine in 1841. So it seems likely that Roderick Forbes was born in Inverness town and therefore that this is where the 1861 census says that James Macrae was born.
Strathglass is not in the parish of Moy. Most if not all of it is in the parish of Kilmorack, in Inverness-shire. The parish of Moy is also in Inverness-shire.
There is Mey, but it is in the parish of Canisbay in Caithness, not Ross and Cromarty, and it isn't a parish it its own right.
Strathcarron is in the parish of Lochcarron in Wester Ross.

This is my 3rd attempt at sending through these census details haven't mastered my fairly new windows 10 way of doing things yet !
James Macrae born 1854 and christened in Urray according to FamilySearch.
FamilySearch also have his birth place as Rossshire in 1871 census. I haven't been able to find the family in Scotlands People for 1877.
I have his death certificate from Scotland's People for 1877
I thought this family was all sorted out and filed but there are so many discrepancies I am having doubts.
