Title: mary foley
Post by: telboym8 on Saturday 29 February 20 13:37 GMT (UK)
Hello

I a novice at all this. I have found my great great grandmother Mary Foley. Her baptism record 16 oct 1839 shows the parish as St Mullins wexford and Carlow. Her parents were James Foley and Mary Keating.Residence says Goolin?? not sure if that's right. I cant find a Goolin village. Could this be some other name that I have misread.

Also, can anyone help with parents here?

Thank you

Thank you for your help...Could be Gowlin I guess. Its bad handwriting. The best would be GO-LIN so likely would be Gowlin.

Awesome  thank you so much for your help.I see the 1911 census says Goolin as opposed to Gowlin so It would appear that this is the correct area
