I'm taking advantage of the offer to restore some family photos. This is my husband's grandmother, born in 1884
Many thanks.

What a lovely photo, it needs a lot of work but so worth it. I bet this one will be popular, any chance of a better scan, this is only scanned at a resolution of 72dpi which is quite a small file. 300dpi would produce better results if you can.

Thank you. Yes it is quite damaged. This is a scan I already had. I'll look out the original and rescan it
Thanks

OK Chris...it will be worth it because it is lovely.

My pleasure, Chris. :)
If you can manage to get and post a higher resolution image, as Carol suggested, you should get some great restores.
Cheers,

Hello Carol and Peter. In spite of looking everywhere I just can't find the original photo. I know I have it. There are also other Malkin photos missing too. I have obviously put them all somewhere safe. Ill be back when I locate them
Thanks again for your help

Thank you Japeflakes. I rather like that. It's got quite a modern feel

I only made an effort to clean her face a bit. The rest is way beyond my patience...lol. (How does a photo get so scratched up?) Anyway, I wanted to see what she looked like in color, so here you go. ;D
-
Thank you DanNC. Actually I think you have got the colouring spot on. The Malkin family have beautiful very light blue eyes which you have captured perfectly

My Go hope its ok for You
