Tim Brooke-Taylor has died of coronavirus aged 79 - report via his agent.
I loved the Goodies, I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue and I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again. What a great team player and so funny.

Oh no. That is so sad to hear. :(
-
So sad.

I saw the news and then wondered how many younger people have heard of him.
We've got some Goodies episodes at home, including the infamous one. How many comedians can say that some actually did die laughing at a sketch?
-
Oh dear, more sad news.
-
The Four Yorkshire Men sketch is fantastic and how they were not all cracking up I don't know.
R.I.P. Tim

Which episode do you call 'the infamous one'?
-
The Ecky Thump one, where someone laughed so hard watching it he had a heart attack and died.
Edit- Episode is called Kung Fu Kapers :)
-
Ah, that one. Just had to watch it again on YouTube. ;D ;D ;D

Such a funny man and seemed to be a thoroughly nice individual. All these 'friends' that we hear on the radio every day give such joy to us in these awful days. RIP - may his family recall him with smiles not tears.
-
Sorry to hear this news, it seems to happen to the nicest people, doesn't it?
-
Just wanted to say how sad to hear of Tim's death today another Covid19 victim.
I for one feels as though he has been part of my life forever with The Goodies, and then as I grew up and appreciated I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue.
I have never had a more enjoyable night out than enjoying all the silliness that went with an ISIHAC recording for BBC Radio4 on so many occasions.
Still I bet he will be having fun up there with Humph and Willie Rushton!

It's so very sad. So many memories of the Goodies and his later contributions.

Sad news indeed.
Also very sad to read that Stirling Moss has passed away age 90 after a long illness. I remember seeing some footage of a TV interview when he admitted that he had once been stopped by a policeman who asked the common question of the time "Who do you think you are? Stirling Moss?" I would have loved to have seen the policeman's face!

That's TBT, Stirling Moss and Peter Bonetti all in one day. :(
