I have a question about the age of enlistment for the period 1785 to 1795.

What was the minimum age that a young man could join as as an ordinary soldier in Britain? Thanks.

HellO again all.

I haven't had a reply from the experts out there so far.

I am working on the basis the age was at least 16 years old at that time. Reasonable or not??
