I am looking for their parents, grandparents, GGGs, and ANY docs that might be avail. As far back as is available!
Robert was born 1675-1739, Elizabeth was born 1680, nee unknown. Shepton Mallet.
They had a son, Joseph Padfield (1700-1776) who married Mary Kaites (1700-1784), from Holcombe, Somerset, emmigrated to US (Virgina), had a son Joseph Padfield (1734-1829), who married Mary Ann Lodge (1736-1841 104 years).
Any and all info happily embraced.

My error, it is RICHARD Padfield, not Robert
Richard Padfield, Circa 1675 - 1739
Richard Padfield was born circa 1675, at birth place.
Richard married Elizabeth Padfield.
Elizabeth was born circa 1680, in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England.
They had 3 children: Joseph Padfield and 2 other children.
Richard passed away in month 1739, at age 64 at death place.
He was buried on month day 1739, at burial place.

BluedogMaddy,
I have checked the Shepton Mallet parish records from 1662 through to 1690 and there is not one PADFIELD surname registered. As for Elizabeth you are going to need a surname to find her. It doesn't matter which parish record your looking at there is a lot of Elizabeths recorded even in the 1680's decade.
Sorry but I think you will need a bit more info to find them.
Cheers
Geoff

Hello BluedogMaddy,
What is the source of your information please?
I cannot find any baptisms etc in Shepton Mallet either. There do seem to be people by the name of Padfield in Kilmersdon and other areas around there. It is quite a common name in the Mendip region of Somerset.
You could look at Freereg and see what is on there:

You need to enter a search for name soundex as this gives details you are seeking. The names tend to be under Padfeild.

St Peter and St Paul, Kilmersdon, baptisms are:
15/04/1701 John Padfeild, son of Richard and Elizabeth Padfeild.
26/12/1702 Richard Padfeild, son of Richard and Elizabeth Padfeild.
1704/5 Joseph Padfeild, as above.
1706/7 Ann Padfeild, as above.
As you have shown there is a burial for a Richard Padfield in Kilmersdon in 1739.
