Jessie -- just to clarify -- can't you find them AFTER they married - or are you wanting details from BEFORE they married please?
-
I wonder if his surname is a creative spelling of Cadzow?
-
I can't find them after their marriage but I have had a pm from someone who has just told me they are on here already way back in 2014 but not found then either.
Perhaps you could link them up for me
Thanks

Janet Walkinshaw, one of eight children of George W and Helen Sangster, baptised in Edinburgh on 11 April 1820. SP indexes Peter as Cadzien.

Thank you Forfarian for linking them I'm not sure how to
I have just finished reading through the link and it seems after 1871 there is nothing on them.

Scotland’s People index has the 1863 marriage, in Canongate, of Janet and Peter CADZIEN.
The index also lists the death in St Giles in 1880 of Peter CADGZIN, aged 42.
Are these the same person? And are they the Peter you are looking for?

Jessie (Janet ) is still alive she registered the death -- cause of death -- supposed to be from drinking
bad water .

There is a Jane Caydzien aged 69 dies in 1887 in St Andrews Edinburgh....might be worth a look

Third time lucky found her under Jessie Walkingshaw no reference to Peter also under Webster on cert.
Same address as is on his death cert. which confirms it -no parents either . she died in Feb 1895 her death was registered by Procurator Fiscal cause - Sudden failure of heart hastened in all probability by the excessive cold.
Thank you everyone for your help . A few of us including suzilad are all descended from the same Walkingshaw from 1710 in Newbattle Midlothian
We have all been looking for Janet and Peter for a long time.
Peter's mother I should add in case anyone else is ever looking for him was Catherine Nicol.
