I was hoping some one would be able to assist me please with a marriage in Stoke Damerel, Devon, England about 1763.
Thomas Chevey ,Chivie Chiffey married Mary and had several children baptised 1764 onwards several Thomas's would died near birth
Any assistance would be most appreciated

Thomas of the parish of Charles in the town of Plymouth , Mariner.

Both signed,
Witnesses Frederick Rogers and Elizabeth ....might be Sweet it’s not clear.  Both also signed.
