Ole Christensen, born 1855,56 or 57,Venge Skanderborg, Denmark. However, Denmark Baptisms, 1618-1923, states he was baptised 18 March 1853. Could this have been a previous child that died, and another child named after him at later date of 55 to 57. I have great difficulty reading the danish alphabet, in order to clarify his actual birth and christening date. Parents, Christen Sorensen and Ane Marie Olesdatter.(He was the 7th and last child). All were from Norre Vissing Venge Skanderborg- Your help in getting this and any further information (marriage,spouce, children) would be very much appreciated. Janet

Jamcat95-Thank you, and yes, I am looking for his wifes name, her date of birth, and their childrens names and dates/places of birth, if you can help with that, I would be ever so thankful. I clicked on the site as shown, but could not find Ole's name listed.
There were many names that looked familiar but many of my relatives were from Aarhus and Skanderborg counties. Soren Rasmussen, born Storring in 1851 (my grandad) has his 169th birthday today.

Re: 21 May 2020. Hi Ian -I have not been on RootsChat vey much in the last few years. My apologies as life situations ie; covid and health issues and moving etc. took much time and effort.
As for Ole Christensen the 3rd. son of Christen Sorensen(my 2nd grt uncle) and Ane Marie Olesdatter. All I had was his baptism in Veng Skanderborg. Appears the 1st & 2nd Ole's died but have no death record for them as to where they were buried-most likely in Veng
In the 1834, 44 and 55 census's Ole is not mentioned in is fathers home(house #37 VengeBye,Veng)
I also do not have Christen and Ane Marie's death or burial (day/month/year).
Danish records are so difficult to decipher (handwriting & script) Hope all is well with you.

Hi Ian-(jamcat-95) Thank you for your expertise in finding this information on the two Ole's Christensen's and Ane Marie and Christian Sorensen (I noticed on the death record his name was listed as Kristian). and Ane Marie also had a second name-interesting & would have to check the baptism for both. I cannot find Kristen's birth record unfortunately. The death record is his. It says that he was a blacksmith/smith and a widower. His name is recorded as Kristen not Kristian.
