DEATH Unknown
Married a Thomas Hughes born 1791 Eglwys-Fach, Denbighshire deaths, lost with this
I think we have a lot of mixups here
my best friend turned out to be a cousin
But she has Thomas Hughes born (Eglwys-Fach,) Denbighshire, as
Married an Ellinor/Ellen Williams
BIRTH ABT 1793 • Llanasa, Flintshire, Wales
DEATH 8 DEC 1870 • Gwaenysgor, Flintshire, Wales
Also, she has his death as 1861
My cm from DNA, saying the parents Thomas Hughes and Jane Henshaw are right. For my Thomas Hughes
So do not know who is right mine saying he married Elizabeth Rees and the other saying hit was married to Ellinor/Ellen Williams. thanks, AE

Hi
Your messages is a wee bit confusing. Is this what you have:
Elizabeth Rees (b.c. 1786, Eglwys Fach ) married Thomas Hughes (b. 1791, Eglwys Fach)
Thomas Hughes (b. Eglwys Fach, d 1861) married Ellinor/Ellen Williams (b.c. 1793, Llanasa d. 8 Dec 1870, Gwaenysgor).
I don't see a marriage for Thomas Hughes and an Elizabeth in Denbighshire at the moment.
There is a marriage for Thomas Hughes and Ellen Williams at Llanasa, 26 Mar 1812. Both 'of this parish'. The witnesses were John Hughes and Ann Williams.
It's quite likely that there were 2 Thomas Hughes. Have you followed them through the censuses? Also, who was the offspring that you are following - have you got a birth/baptism entry for that person?

There is a possible baptism record for Thomas Hughes in Eglwysfach :
17 February 1796 Thomas son of John Hughes and Jane of Maes yr Hendri
I've not found a baptism for Elizabeth Rees (alternatives ). The family could have been non-conformist.
-
There is a possible baptism record for Thomas Hughes in Llanasa:
5 March 1786 (b. 4 March) Thomas son of Peter Hughes and Margaret
and Ellen Williams in Llanasa
28 April 1792 Ellen daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Williams, Gronant

Incidentally, what amount of shared DNA (in centiMorgans) do you share with your relative. This should give a possible indication of your relationship.
The names are not uncommon in this area.
Also, what is the source of your information on Thomas Hughes and Elizabeth Rees

Just to say that all the GRO birth registrations for the children have her as Davies.

Wow, Thank you, so it would still be in her maiden name. maybe she did not get married.
AE

AE
No
If you look at the GRO indexes, the birth registrations will give you the child's name followed by the mother's maiden name. In this case it was
Hughes, <name>, Mother's Maiden name: Davies
