Hi looking for a birth in SA for Edna Ruby Daley. No idea of mothers name but father is supposedly Thomas Daley. Birth date is given as 24 th Jan 1902
Any help appreciated.
I am trying to help out a fellow researcher and my invade have tried after all these years

BTW I have access to those SA births, but she’s not there. The closest possibility is as follows:
Edna May BALLARD 10/01/1902 Adelaide
mother = Edith Mary BALLARD
father = “not recorded.
it is stabbing in the dark without more info ..

Ok, so I did have the right one, she's always Edna in the documents. The exception seems to be her DC where she can be found as Edna Ruby. Her father is listed as "Stan" here ...

Sorry you have lost me her father is listed as Stan? Where is it listed as Stan? And Stan who ?
She was married in NSW and died there

I cannot comment on whether or not this is the woman you are looking for, but this NSW death may be the one Treespirit refers to.

Adding for your interest.
A bit more research going back over her marriages etc. reveals the above woman who at death was Edna Ruby PRESS, appears to have been DALEY at one time and possibly that was her nee name.

Someone else has an Edna Daley born in Adelaide with the date 14 Jan 1902.
Does Edna Ruby have any WILLSHIRE connections?

Yes her life and death is well documented a lot of which is heresay etc

There is not much point in looking for a birth of an Edna DALEY if there is a possibility that it was not her birth name.

Eustace was born c1906 and when he married in 1925 he said his mother was May MORRISON. Thomas DALEY married May T. MORRISON in Sydney in 1900.
Juliet Rosalind said she was born 14 May 1914 at Rose Bay when she enlisted in 1942.

Her birth was registered in 1908 at Marrickville. If Thomas and May moved around after marriage perhaps they didn't bother to register whichever, if any, of the other children were theirs at birth. Maissie's birth certificate should give details of previous issue.

Please thanks for your time but I don't need all this as I had it as stated I was just teying to confirm her birth in SA
As regards to a 1908 registration in NSW it isn't showing on the NSW BDM website under Daley
Her sister Esther registration is
