Title: RAF
Post by: Tearose on Thursday 02 July 20 09:06 BST (UK)
Hi
This is a complete shot in the dark, but my father (now deceased) was in the RAF, but I have no details of where he was based? (UK)
I've got membership with Ancestry, and cannot find anything on there?
Am I asking too much?

Asking too much only in the sense that WW2 records aren't on line.  They are still held by the Ministry of Defence (in his case the RAF 3rd party disclosures team).  The process of application is here:

https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records

You don't need his service number as long as you have his date of birth and the other requirements and you need a little patience!
