What timescale is involved? No dates of death given
-
Perhaps the Parish Council may be of assistance:

She was on the 1881 Census living at No. 8 Almhouses. She she died in 1886 and buried at Misterton. Her husband John died in 1871.
Thanks

This map confirms the almshouses were located near St Mary's Church, West Stockwith (top left hand corner).

Thanks at least I know now where they are. All I need now is to find an old pic of church and street hoping they are on them.
Thanks again Gaynori

The almhouses, according to this, were attached to the back of St Mary's Chapel.

That's interesting John was a rope maker neither a carpenter or seafarer. Must have needed to fill up spaces.
-
But rope making was an essential trade as far as ships were concerned.

He lived where boats were used. The River Trent was an important waterway to the Humber Estuary.
Boats need rope so his occupation would be important in the area.
