Title: De Rouffignac lineage Huguenots
Post by: tornado on Thursday 09 July 20 20:19 BST (UK)
I have a "ghost in my tree". "Can anyone help me find out more about a distant ancestor?". The distant ancestor is a Thomas De Rouffignac born 1610 in the Poitou - Charentes region of France. His Wife was Marie De Mott . I know they where Huguenots , and have tracked there Children down , but can't seem to find out what Thomas did for a living back then?. I cannot decipher the French language so haven't tried the census etc (where there any?) I consider him worthy of research , hence my request . Any help is appreciated . Thank you very much Rootschatters.
