Hi, Ruth Laverne Astles was born in Canada 26th november 1921 and moved to the New York area some time in the 1940s, beleived to have married a Doctor named Goldberg.
Did she ever have any children to Goldberg or even before that ?
She died 24th of November 2004 in the Nassau area of New York.
Any help or other info please, very hard to find much about her.

From his & her grave, (Popi & Nana) they definitely had children & he seemed to have served in the RCAMC (Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp) as a Captain.

If any children were born to the marriage they cannot be named here. They would have been born in the late 1940's/1950's so could still be alive and Rootschat has a no living persons policy

It looks like they lived in Port Washington, New York, which is in Nassau County. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:23PT-24L (this source is from mailing lists, etc., so the dates often go on later than the person's death.) I have friends who lived in Port Washington years ago, and there was an excellent pizza place nearby. :)
The Social Security death index gives her place of last residence as Port Washington, but that may or may not have been her actual place of death.

Though they lived in Nassau County, like many well-to-do, they holiday and had a place in up state New York. My guess is after they retired they lived most of their time around the Schroon Lake area and that is where they were buried when they died.
They had 4 children, 3 sons & a daughter.
In the August 28, 1969 clipping, the article talks about Laverne & her family coming from England to Canada and now the entire family lives in the USA. Also mentions she just went to Ontario recently to help her sister move to Niagara Fall.

Here is the Arrival Manifest Card for Ruth Laverne Astles in 1947. It's got a lot of information on it. It appears at the time she was working as a Technician at Worcester St Hospital in Worcester, Mass.
Apparently her friend was Dr E. A. Goldberg at the same hospital. I assume that is where they met & perhaps they married in Massachusetts also?
Her father is listed as George Foster Astles, Erie, Ontario.
The record for her is on 2 cards, images 3278 & 3279 (most of the info)
