I have some information that a British Army WW2 soldier was
"Released Class 'A' 8.2.1946 and Class 'Z' (T) Army Reserve 13.6.1946."
If Class "Z" was the Army Reserve, can someone explain what Class "A" was, please?
Thanks

Class A was the standard release whereby people were released in accordance with a formula based on age and length of service. Class B was a special skill release and Class C a compassionate release.
The (T) indicates he was a territorial (as were almost all duration of war enlistments).
