Hi,
This is my first post so I apologize if it is in the wrong location. I am looking for information on my ancestor, David Barron. A farmer in Stamfordham. I know the following:
Born 1714
Married 30 Nov 1743, Kirk-Linton, Cumberland, England, Spouse Mary Graham
Children from this marriage John, Margaret, George, David, William, Joseph, Mary, Thomas, Matthew
Died 19 Mar 1796, Stamfordham, St Mary The Virgin, Northumberland, England
I have not been able to find anything further and no records for David or his parents.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Jim

No suitable birth in England but this from https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
BARRONE DAVID THOMAS BARRONE/MARGARET BELL 11/02/1711 Abercorn, West Lothian
As far as I can see no marriages for him in Scotland before 1743.

The only other around that time in Scotland.
BARRON DAVID DAVID BARRON 25/01/1709 Alyth, Perthshire
Plus this which seems more likely?
Name David Berron
Father John Berron
Baptism 26/09/1712 Formby, St Peter Lancashire

Thanks for the responses!
I will search the site. I’m also wondering if the parents could have moved from Scotland. I’ve heard there was some immigration to England from Scotland somewhere around this time due to unrest. Not sure hope if that’s true and how to make the leap from Stamfordham back one more generation.
