Title: Street name in Aberdeen

Would anyone know what street in Aberdeen this is (indicated by the yellow dots)? Looks as though it might be abbreviated.

Abbreviation for something like Tannery Street, maybe?

It was the southerly extension of George Street - see https://maps.nls.uk/view/74400001

Ah, yes, that makes sense - currently under the Bon Accord shopping centre!

1824/1825 Directory-
George Troup , baker , George St.

There is also a Will dated 1831 for George Troup , baker(Aberdeen) , on Scotlandspeople which might
match up  :-\

Now that's interesting, Ev, because my focus was on George Baker, who was not a baker :D The extract I showed was from records of deaths that I found while I was researching George Baker, the coach guard.
It seems that he was godfather to George Troup, presumably the son of George Troup sr (who was a baker). But the first mention describes Mary Ann Troup as 'daughter' of George Baker - I assume this should be god daughter. I shall have to investigate further, including the will!

OK, now I see that I was misreading 'aged' as 'a god' and the record just refers to George (Troup) the baker, and not to George Baker at all. Please ignore the last post :-[
