"Does anyone know the location of this pub/ex-pub? Ashby's was a Staines brewery"
Is a question being asked on another forum and I know it's the type of mystery the Sherlocks on this site might like.
There are lots of pub/brewery sites on 'tinternet but I'm thinking a genealogy mindset could be applied.

It looks like the pub on Kingston Road Staines by the railway station (The Star /North Star)
Maybe not though I have just looked at online maps

Have you tried searching the 1901 census for pubs of that name within 30 miles of Staines. Apparently that is where Ashby's had their pubs

Culd it possibly be the Prince of Wales pub which was in Reigate. The size of the building looks about right, obviously there have been alteration and additions but several features are the same.
