Title: Which one is the baptism of John SHAW 1603 *COMPLETED*
Post by: Westy11 on Thursday 23 July 20 06:37 BST (UK)
The attached two clippings are from the column said to be a recording of baptisms at St Olave, Bermondsey, Southwark, Surrey.

In particular I am looking for the one related to the baptism of John SHAW son of Edward bap 9 Oct 1603.

Unfortunately I cannot work out which entry is for John and I am hoping the entry provides additional information possibly about the father Edward.

I would say it's the middle one of the baptisms with 9 at the right; father is Edmunde. Father's occupation is Haberdasher ??

I'd say 'haberdasher' too.
You can see the first letter is the same as the 'h' in 'Shawe'.
6th entry from the top.
