Title: Peter Fullarton of Balntombui, Inverness
Post by: josey on Saturday 01 August 20 13:55 BST (UK)
I have come across a letter dated 27 Sep 1906 written by Peter Fullarton of Balntombui [well that's what it looks like....] to Mr Grant of Glenmoriston; it also mentions Neil Shaw. If anyone has an interest in the Fullarton or Shaw families in Glenmoriston please pm me & I can pass it on.

@ Josey, Balintombuie on the burn of that name in Glen Morriston, opposite Achlain on river Morriston. Dundreggan Forest maybe?
Means something like farm settlement of the yellow knoll.

Skoosh.

Oh that sounds likely. Mr Fullarton didn't put in the first 'i' or 'e'  ;).Hope it can find a good home. Peter tells the laird that some of his sheep have been killed....
