I am wondering if anyone has any information about this 19th century photographer:
J Jacques of 29 Alfred Street, Nottingham.
Grateful thanks to anyone who can help.

It may be of interest that Wright's Directory of Nottingham, 1891, contains (on p. 219) an entry for Joseph Jacques, an agent for the Refuge Friendly Society, Alfred Terrace, 29 Alfred Street South.
Kelly's Nottinghamshire, 1895, describes him as an assurance agent, 29 Alfred Street South.

Hello Watson,
Thank you very much for your reply to my message. It does appear that the Joseph Jacques you have found is the person I am looking for, even though he never appears to have been listed as a photographer!
Best wishes,
Tamarclaire
