Hi. Looking for any information to add to these few facts please
George Henry Leatham DAKIN
Born 1877
WR 353317 (Army number I think)
Rank A/WO cc1 (or ee1) RSM
Enlisted 18.8.1917
Army reserves 5/2/19
Taken (with difficulty) from back of old photograph.
Cuffie81 has been very helpful but we seem to have got stuck here at the moment, so hoping all these clever RootsChat people can get the ball rolling again.
BIG thank you in advance.

Nothing found. Not on WW1 medal rolls so presumably did not serve overseas.
-
If did not serve overseas can nothing else be found?

Well, I can't find anything for him. Bear in mind that around 70% of WW1 soldiers' records were destroyed by enemy action in WW2.

OK. Does the service number look like an actual service number?
RSM= Reg Sergeant Major ?
A/WO?

Yes it is right for someone who enlisted in the Royal Engineers in August 1917.
RSM= Reg Sergeant Major ?
Indeed. A/WO would suggest an acting Warrant Officer

WR prefix indicating Waterways and Railways. The number itself can sometimes identify which element of that part of the RE he belonged to - more work needed.
Loose end the "cc 1" is Cl 1 - in full Acting Class 1 Warrant Officer (Regimental Sergeant Major)
