Hi
I'm looking for an address around Main Beach in the years above, know the people I'm looking for aren't in electoral rolls - does anyone know if there are telephone directories available for those years that might be available, preferably online?
Many thanks

Hi Meegan,
You could try the Queensland Telephone Directory 1931-1959 (https://www.findmypast.com.au/articles/world-records/full-list-of-australia-and-new-zealand-records/newspapers-directories-and-social-history/queensland-telephone-directory-1931-1959) on FindMyPast.
SLQ have Queensland Post Office Directories, 1868-1949 (https://www.slq.qld.gov.au/blog/queensland-post-office-directories-1868-1949), but they may not be recent enough for you.
Cheers, Justin

Thanks Justin. I see they have a free 14 day trial so might try that. Emailed SLQ and waiting to hear back
Thanks for the direction

No worries Meegan. I'm in Brisbane and I have a membership with SLQ, so feel free to let me know if there's anything I can help with.

Thanks Justin - I, too, have SLQ membership and am about 20mins out of Ipswich so might be time I took a train ride into the Big Smoke and had a look for myself, if they have the Directories. It's a big thing to go into the city these days!
Many thanks
Meegan
