Hi all,
Yet another one from me...
James Ackroyd married Ann Senior (1756-1781) in 1778 in Silkstone with Stainborough. They had two known children - Martin (1778) and William (1780).
I have looked for a baptism for James Ackroyd and have failed to turn anything up at the moment. 1756 isn't definite - just along the same lines as his wife.
Martin wasn't a common name and there are others in West Yorkshire, so could there be an uncle or grandfather of that name? Right now, I have no idea. Ann's father was called George.
If anyone could help me get further back, I'd be most grateful!
