I have 3 sisters, Bridget b 2 Apr 1865, Margaret b 5 Mar 1866 and Annie b 10 Jun 1874. All dates are from the 1939 census.
They all say their father was Robert O'Connor when they married, Bridget in Ballinasloe Galway and Margaret and Annie in Athlone.
On the Irish 1911 census Bridget said she was born co Galway and Annie said Limerick city, I can't find Margaret.
I can't seem to find their births or a marriage of a Robert O'Connor, not helped by not really knowing which town or parish to search.
Is there any way to track these people down?

Who did the sisters marry and when?
Is this Bridget - marriage to Martin Walsh 1886

If that is Bridget, Robert is a Dealer
Is this Annie? Robert is deceased in 1897 and was a labourer.

Is this Margaret? Spouse, Joseph Henry
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1886/10852/5962220.pdf
Robert is a labourer
-
Margaret and Joseph Henry are living in England in 1901 and 1911.
1911 she gives Athlone as her birth place.

Very much a long shot (sorry!)
A Hannah O'Connor born 4 July 1874, Limerick
father Robert, a Dealer
mother Hannah, formerly Duggan
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1874/03132/2148348.pdf
They also had daughter Mary in Thurles, Jan 1877

-
Hang on though, they may be the Robert Connor + Hannah (nee Duggan) couple who had a daughter Margaret baptized 18 Sep 1866, Newry.

If these are your family, as Robert was described as a Dealer, that is perhaps why they are in various parts of the country. Or, of course, it all might be coincidence.

I was taking so long to check Jon, that I only noticed your last post as I posted and then saw all the rest ::)

Confirmation. ;)
A transcript of the Ballinasloe RC parish record of the marriage between Martin Walsh and Bridget O'Connor on 9 October 1886 identifies both parents for bride and groom, namely:
- Patrick and Mary (Gorman) Walsh;
- Robert and Hannah (Duggan) O'Connor.
A transcript of the St. Peter's Athlone RC parish record of the marriage between Patrick Hogan and Anne O'Connor on 28 January 1897 identifies both parents for bride and groom, namely:
- Daniel and Mary (Gately) Hogan;
- Robert and Honor (Doogan) O'Connor.
-
Well, we all agree, and we also have it confirmed :)
-
There is a death in Athlone 1886 - Robert Connor, married, labourer.
Unfortunately the informant is from the Workhouse.
Robert is described as a labourer on some records.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1886/06232/4783520.pdf
May be just coincidence though.
-
They also had daughter Mary in Thurles, Jan 1877
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1877/03022/2107557.pdf
Does it say that the informant was Ellen O'Connor, present at birth, Quarry St?
There is a death registration in Thurles in 1877 of a Hannah O'Connor.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FR1F-X4W
Age is only 34. Mention it because there were not so many with the Connor name in Thurles in the indexes.
Irish Genealogy says death was in Q1, but of course no image (hopefully be one soon!)

Agree Jon, it says Quarry St and the informant is Ellen O'Connor.
It may actually have been called The Quarry back in 1877.

Thank you, KG.
Well I think then Ellen may well be another child of Robert and Hannah, and a very young informant!
I am also worried that mother Hannah is that 1877 Thurles death :(
Annie, 16, in the 1891 census in England could be the sister we have previously looked for and born Hannah in 1874. Though we know she married in Ireland in 1897.

Margaret was also in Oldham in 1901 and 1911. The two families were not far from each other.
I see I didn’t post the details - I thought I had ::)

What a lot of information :)

Oldham cemetery records here - you can see the names of others buried in the same grave.

Wow :o
You are all amazing. I have been searching for so long and suddenly I'm overwhelmed.
This does fit in with my mother's story that Robert O'Connors wife died, possibly in childbirth.
I'm amazed at how far apart these children were born, I was hoping they were all somewhere near Athlone and maybe that is why i haven't found them.
Thanks very much to all concerned and can I just ask one more question? Does anybody have any idea where Robert and Hannah married?

Suggest "Cornwall" may have been Cornholme near Todmorden. Haven't looked at census.

Not on Irish Genealogy.ie Were they R.C.? They may have married before civil registration of Catholic marriages began in Ireland.
-
Reply #7 has Patrick Born 1860, Drumcree, Armagh.
I think his is the earliest birth we have found.
Registration for Catholic marriages began in 1864 so you would be looking at parish records.
You could try Drumcree to see if they married there but they did move around a lot. :-\

It may be, but it doesn't say that.

A John Mills married Bridget Gorman at same church 1893.
